Home, ever so sweet

Somehow the trip home seemed longer than the one over even though it was one plane less.  Probably because I’m not as tired now as I was going over, having had such an eventful and yet restful holiday.

My plane got in around 9:30 pm last night; I was asleep by 11:30.  But being an early riser anyway and with the five hour time difference from Amsterdam, I was up and moving by 4:30 am.  So I am not too coherent at the moment and will crash soon.  But it so nice to be sleeping, even if too briefly, in my own bed and walking with my dog in the park, meeting up with friends and neighbors and catching up on life on the home front.

Tomorrow I will get back to painting.

About leyaevelyn

About thirty years ago, I moved from New York City to rural Nova Scotia. For an artist, it is a good place to live. Spacious and quiet. Despite the beautiful scenery and frequently grey skies, my abstract paintings focus on color, its expressive qualities and how it creates form and space.
